Hi Rachel! I’ve been really enjoying your content lately! I feel like I have 3 critiques with this book…. 1. I don’t like that they used a tablet for screen time instead of a tv, and I don’t like that it shows emmer holding the tablet, let alone the parent leaving the room and leaving the child unattended with the tablet. I know this is the norm for some, but I would have loved if they would have demonstrated more how adults are in control of technology 2. I don’t like how emmer does not respond to her mom and she’s already “deep inside “ the screen…. If a child is dissociated during screen time I feel the show is too overstimulating for the child’s brain. Shows that are not overstimulating a child should be able to have a conversation during the show. Simultaneously… the mom is looking at the phone and saying “I have to do something for work” instead of at her daughter. 3. I was disappointed that lovevery did not touch on how a show can make you FEEL disregard afterwards. All that happens is the child throws a tantrum. This book is no different than “two big feelings” book. I would have loved if they modeled this book similar to “Charlie learns something new” where the adult talks through what’s going on in the child’s body. How screens can make us feel overstimulated, how that might feel in your body, and offered emmr a chance to model checking in with her OWN body to decide when the screen was making her too wired. I just loved your book video on what to look for in books, and I’d love to hear your thoughts on my opinion. Of course there is no perfect book but as you said in that video, children just repeat behaviors. What if normally a child reading this does not mind when screens are turned off, but this shows that it always has to be a hard struggle. To me…. This book totally missed the mark.

Diagnosing and putting a 'label' to something is very convenient for the pharma mafia isnt it. Gives them a reason to write out all thse Rx! Stopped all Walmart deliveries. Handicapped and can't get out front door, in wheelchair, steps. They have pho num and explicit instruction to go to back door. Signs all over, even requested to sign for order. A problem every time! EVEN HAD DELIVERIES STOLEN FROM FRONT DOOR. Customer service always says it won't happen again, and it ALWAYS does. They send random strangers to your house, they don't even work for Walmart. Dangerous for the elderly. Neighbor helped bring order in one day and it wasn't pretty after sitting in 80 deg heat for hours two of the bags were full of ants. Simply, they don't give a shit!

My toddler (he will be 18 months) had a lot of water exposure last summer but this will be his first time getting back in it. STRAP CLARIFICATION: It has a 5 point harness actually - i kept getting confused because its 3 points that clip together, but the two shoulder straps each have two points that connect to the buckle. So basically unlike some strollers where you have to connect each of the five points into a star at the buckle, two of the five points connect in a buckle on either arm, and then those two buckles go into the crotch strap. You can see this best when i show the straps tucked in the strap holder and flip them around to clean, how it shows the 4 points (fifth being groin). I hope that makes sense!
